Privacy Policy Last updated: October 2, 2026 This Privacy Policy explains how Video Downloader For Any Link handles information when you use the app and its information website, linkdownloader.site. The app checks media links and downloads files directly on your device. No user account is required. Privacy contact For privacy questions or requests concerning access, correction or deletion of information, contact the app administrator at admin@linkdownloader.site. Links, clipboard and media requests The app processes links you enter, paste or share from another app. It reads clipboard content when you tap Paste. To check a link, show a thumbnail or download a file, your device sends requests to the source website and associated media hosts. Those services receive the requested link, your IP address and standard request information. Their own privacy practices apply. Source cookies and media metadata may be cached privately on your device to reuse a checked link. Your source links, media titles, downloaded files and download history are not uploaded to the app's settings service or supplied as advertising, analytics or announcement-targeting data. Information stored on your device The app stores download history, file names and locations, appearance preferences, cached app settings, and prompt or advertising timing preferences in private app storage. Saved media is placed in Downloads/LinkDrop. Thumbnail previews, checked-link metadata, source cookies and in-progress download files may use temporary storage. Settings, website and optional images The app retrieves published settings and information pages from linkdownloader.site. Our hosting service receives your IP address and standard request details, such as the requested page, request time and user agent, for serving requests and operating the service. Optional announcement or rating images are retrieved from the image host configured by the administrator; that host also receives your IP address and request details. Following an external link opens the selected service, whose privacy practices then apply. Advertising When advertising is enabled, third-party advertising providers and their partners may collect and share your IP address, approximate location inferred from that address, device and app information, advertising identifiers, app-set identifiers, ad impressions and interactions, and diagnostic information such as performance or error details. These records support ad delivery, measurement, analytics, security and fraud prevention. Advertising identifiers and app-set identifiers are subject to their respective permitted uses; app-set identifiers are not used by the app for personalized advertising. Where required, the app presents advertising privacy choices before ad requests are permitted and provides Ad privacy choices in Settings. Available choices depend on your region and the advertising service. Source links and download history are not used by the app to personalize ads. Usage analytics Third-party analytics services operate automatically to measure first opens, active users, general screen visits, sessions and engagement. They may process app-instance identifiers, app version, device and operating-system information, language settings, usage events and network information used to derive approximate geographic information. Analytics advertising-identifier collection and advertising-personalization signals are disabled in this app. Downloaded files, source links, media titles and download history are not included in the app's analytics events. App announcements A third-party push-notification service processes an installation identifier, registration information, app version and device or network information to deliver announcements from the administrator. Notification interactions may be measured by the analytics service. Announcements require notification permission and can be managed in your device's system settings. Download progress notifications are generated locally by the app. How information is used and shared Information is used to provide downloads, display previews, preserve local history and preferences, deliver settings and announcements, measure app usage, provide advertising, and protect or troubleshoot the service. Recipients include source websites and media hosts, our hosting provider, configured image hosts, and advertising, analytics and push-notification providers. These providers may process information on servers outside your country. We do not sell your personal information. Information may also be disclosed when necessary to comply with applicable law or a valid legal request. Permissions and security Internet access supports media requests, settings, images, advertising, analytics and announcements. Notification permission supports progress alerts and announcements. A foreground download service and wake lock help active downloads continue. Saved files use the device's download storage rather than broad access to personal files. The app does not request access to contacts, the camera, the microphone or precise device location. Private app records are protected by the device's application sandbox. The settings service uses HTTPS, authenticated administrator access and restricted server permissions. Integrated service connections use their transport-security mechanisms. Requests to external media hosts depend on the source's available connection methods. Downloaded media in shared storage is accessible to you and to other apps that have the necessary permission. No storage or transmission method can provide an absolute security guarantee. Retention and deletion Local history and preferences remain until you clear app storage or uninstall the app. Checked-link metadata and source-cookie entries are eligible for reuse for five minutes; expired entries are removed when accessed or during cache maintenance, rather than by a continuous five-minute deletion timer. Preview and settings caches may remain until replaced or cleared. The app cleans temporary download files when a job finishes or is cancelled; interrupted jobs may leave temporary data until cleanup or app storage is cleared. Saved media remains in shared Downloads storage until you delete it separately. Service request logs are retained according to the hosting service's log-rotation settings for operation, troubleshooting and security. Advertising, analytics and notification records are retained according to the relevant provider's retention settings and policies. Deleting local app data does not itself delete records already transmitted to those services. To request access, correction or deletion of information held by us or our service providers, email admin@linkdownloader.site with enough detail to identify the relevant information. We may need additional information to verify a request and determine which records can be located. Requests are handled under applicable law and the relevant provider's supported procedures. Records required for legal obligations or security may need to be retained; anonymous or aggregated statistics may no longer identify an individual. Do not send passwords or private media with your request. Your choices You can cancel downloads, remove saved media using your device's file manager, clear private app storage, manage notification permission in system settings, and use advertising privacy choices when available.
